Revelation 21:5-7 Jesus begins to speak again and says He is about to make the new heavens and earth and all things new. He has accomplished the judgements of the Tribulation and all of the old creation and now refers to Himself again as the originator and the one who will end all of the old things (“the Alpha and Omega”). He promises salvation and the abundant satisfaction of all the deepest needs of His people. This invitation is to anyone, the wonderful Gospel invitation of coming, believing and being saved. The overcomer is anyone who is a believer and here Jesus sums up all 7 promises He gave earlier in Chapters 2 and 3 by saying we will inherit all things. What a joyous thing to know that Jesus sits on the throne, yet loves us and gave Himself for us and will one day give us all the things that He owns and we really don’t deserve. Have you thanked Him today for who He is, what He has done, and will do for us?
Revelation 21:5-7 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
