DIVINE GUIDANCE

February 5

David knew he needed divine guidance and instruction to be able to walk in righteousness before the Lord, but needed help in knowing exactly what to do.  Every day is a new day and opportunity to walk worthy of the calling of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do we seek His guidance as David did before we start and as we go about our day?  Psalm 119:104-105 says Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore, I hate every false way. Thy word is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet.  It has been said if we walk in the light that we do know (the will of God), then God will show us how and where to make the next step in His will. It is impossible to steer a stopped car and so it is with our lives.  When we move in the direction we are led by God, then He can steer us in the right direction.  Let’s take that first step and see where God takes us because God does not need our ability, He wants our availability.

Psalm 25:5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
