HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD

July 5

Notice in this section Acts 8:4-8 that this is right after Stephen has been stoned for his faith and now Saul (Paul) is persecuting the church and putting them in prison. These people don’t whine and cry that they are being persecuted, they don’t protest, they don’t try to get a law changed to stop this but they go out and preach the word.  This is what we are called to do.  Jesus said if they persecuted Him they would us too, so why are we using man’s methods to try to change the world?  Notice they went to wherever they could go to escape the persecution, but went preaching the word and many were saved and there was great joy in the city.  What would happen if we would use God’s methods instead of man’s?  God would use us and work mightily when we trust Him and obey Him.  Let’s do that today. Amen!!

Acts 8:4-8 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.
