FINDING COMFORT

September 30

The Psalmist is glad for the comfort found in God’s righteous word when troubles overwhelmed him. We ought to be thankful to God for His word to us that never fails, encourages us, rebukes us, comforts us, and shows us the right way to live. We ought to pray as the Psalmist did that God will help us understand His word fully so that we will be saved, have eternal life, and that we may live the life He wants us to by understanding it. Let us commit to dig into the word today. How do you get a desire to read God’s word? You do that by reading it and then the more you read the more you will have a hunger for it and the knowledge to live rightly.

Psalms 119:144 The righteousness of Thy testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live.
