GOD’S PROVIDENCE

December 8

2 Chronicles 22:11-12 This story of the saving of Joash is one of God’s providence. God had said the Messiah (Jesus) would come through the Davidic line and that David’s children would continue to rule. This promise had to be fulfilled. At this time Joash is the only one left in the Davidic line. God used a woman and a nurse to save the line of David. We have to remember that God’s word is always true, we can turn to the end of the book and we will see how it all will turn out. God’s promises never fail. He and we that are Christians win in the end. Don’t fret over evil doers, they will get theirs one day if they don’t trust Christ. Who or what is your trust in?

2 Chronicles 22:11-12 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being murdered, and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah so that she did not kill him. 12 And he was hidden with them in the house of God for six years, while Athaliah reigned over the land.
