ALL WE NEED TO LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

December 8

2 Peter 1:3-4 God has given to us all we need to live the Christian life. He has given us the Holy Spirit to enable us to say no to sin and yes to Christ Likeness. This has all been done so that we can live for Him and show others who Christ really is. These exceedingly great and precious promises are the means to knowing Christ as Savior and freeing us from the sin nature that held us captive to the devil and sin. Let us thank God if we have trusted Christ as Savior and for all that He has done and continues to do in our lives every day. Go read the whole chapter of Psalm 107 and give thanks. (Psalm 107:8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!) If you haven’t trusted Him, repent of your sins and ask Christ to save you today.

2 Peter 1:3-4 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
