DO YOU KNOW HIM?

December 28

After His sacrificial work had ended, the Servant (Jesus) would look back on it with satisfaction, as would Yahweh (God the Father cf. 1 John 2:2). The “many” would obtain salvation through the knowledge of Him and His work. The “many” are those who trust in Christ as Savior. He died for all mankind, but unfortunately not all will trust Him as Savior. As Cyrus was God’s anointed servant to restore the Israelites to their land, so the Servant (Jesus) would be God’s anointed Servant to restore humanity to Himself. He would accomplish what the Old Covenant sacrificial system predicted and looked forward to it’s happening. Have you understood that it was all accomplished on the cross and we can either rejoice because we have trusted in Him or because we can believe on Him today and be saved.  Will you do that today?

As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11).
