2 Chronicles 17:3-6 Jehoshaphat followed David’s example of trusting God and removed the Baal’s (places of idolatrous worship) which were almost innumerable during this time. He sent teachers throughout the land to enable people to know God’s will. He not only fortified his nation’s military for physical protection, but also built the nation up spiritually. He was a good King in that he knew as a leader his job was to take care of his people. All those who are Christians are called on to build up others spiritually. That is our job. There is no such thing as retirement for a Christian, we are called to our dying day to keep helping others know Christ, grow them, encourage them, rebuke them and keep the faith that was once delivered to the saints (Jude). Brothers and sisters are we being faithful to what God has called us to do, if not, why not. Let us be faithful. Amen!
2 Chronicles 17:3-6 Now the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, 4 but sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. 5 Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance. 6 And his heart took delight in the ways of the LORD; moreover, he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah.
