FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU

January 8

2 Peter 2:1-2 Peter says to watch out for those who are out to lead others away from Christ by subtly bringing in falsehoods about the Gospel and they deny Jesus Christ who paid for their sins. This verse clearly states that Jesus died for everyone who has ever been born and anyone who asks God to forgive them and save them can be saved. These same false teachers will lead those who do not know the word like they ought to away from the truth and away from the true Gospel. These are the people who cause others to talk so badly about the church and the Gospel. God will destroy them for denying Christ who paid for their sins and for their leading others into false teaching. It will be swift. Look out for these people, they are wolves in sheep’s clothing pretending to be truth teachers. Do you know your bible well enough to spot the subtle lies that deny the true Gospel?

2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
