HE WHO HAS AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR PART 2

December 7

This refrain “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” is repeated 3 times in Revelation 3 to 3 different churches. 2 of these churches were told of the things they had done wrong and 1 of what they had done well. In Chapter 2 and 3 there are only 2 churches (Smyrna, Philadelphia) out of the 7 who are not rebuked for wrong doing. God wants all of us to be faithful and if you look at these two chapters you will see the things God has prepared for those who love Him. We all mess up at times, but God knew we would before He ever saved us and yet He did it anyway. Our sins have been paid for and we would do well to hear this phrase that is repeated 7 times in two chapters. When God says something one time it is important, but 7 times in two chapters means we had better listen up and obey what He says. Are we being faithful as two of the churches were or are we compromising. It was once said if everyone in the church was like you, what would people say about that church? Something to think about as we live our lives on display for all to see every day.

Revelation 3:22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘”
