INVITING THE LORD TO EXAMINE ALL THAT WE ARE

December 7

Have we done as David did and invited the Lord to examine our innermost motives, thoughts, and what we stand for? David did and could say before the Lord and others that he knew how loving the Lord is. He could also say that he had walked in a proper manner according to God’s word. David knew he was not guilty of what others had said about him and he asked God to vindicate him.  David had not been hanging out with the immoral and hypocritical people and making a mockery of who God is.  Can we ask God as David did to search us and try us and see if there is any wicked way in us knowing that it is not so? Oh God may it be so in my life today.

Psalm 26:2-4 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart. 3 For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth. 4 I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, Nor will I go in with hypocrites.
