PLEASING TO GOD

December 28

In 2 Samuel Chapters 3-5 we see how David grows stronger and stronger and eventually becomes the King over all of Israel and rules for 40 years.  It was not God’s plan for them to have a king, but if they were to have a king it should be a man like David who wanted to please God.  He was very flawed and made many mistakes, but God used him anyway as He does with us.  The reason David grew stronger and stronger was because God was behind it all.  When a man, a ministry, or a church is the plan God is going to use to do His will there is no use in anyone trying to stop it.  God’s plans can never be thwarted and He will accomplish what He wants.  He will use us as long as we are available and seeking His will for our lives. It is amazing the people that God uses to do His will, most of whom are not thought of as the people that God would use.  Are we one of those people who God wants to use?  Are we seeking Him with our whole heart and desiring His will for our lives and the lives of His people? Let us seek Him today and see what He wants to do in our lives and those around us.

2 Samuel 3:1 Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
