SUBMITTING TO GOD’S WORD

December 13

How did people know that when a Corinthian claimed to be a prophet or spiritual that it was true, they did it by checking to see if they acknowledged that the things that Paul had written were done by the Lord’s Authority. Submitting to the teaching of the apostles was and still is that which shows that a person is spiritual because these are the Lord’s commands (God’s word). Are we submissive to the Lord’s commands or do we want to do it our way?

1 Corinthians 14:37 If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, let him recognize that the things which I write to you are the Lord’s commandment.
