ARE YOU LISTENING?

August 24

Israel did not want to hear the word of God as do many today, and they harden their hearts so that they do not have to hear what God says because they don’t want to hear the truth. God did this through the Holy Spirit then and still does this today, but most people have turned their backs on God and want to do whatever they want to do. Is it any wonder God was angry then and is angry now with those who do the same? Do we do that sometimes as believers? Let us repent and ask God’s forgiveness, since He always knows what is best for us, let us listen and obey.

Zechariah 7:11-12 “But they refused to pay attention; stubbornly they turned their backs and covered their ears. They made their hearts as hard as flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the Lord Almighty had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord Almighty was very angry.
