BLESSINGS OR JUDGEMENT?

April 13

Jesus is telling those who are Christians that the blessings which they will experience versus the judgement that the proud will experience are truly great.  We that know Christians will experience great power and knowledge because of knowing Jesus.  We will see the things of the Kingdom of Christ and be a part of God’s mission on this earth.  We have God’s wisdom which is way greater than the knowledge of this world. This means we also get to see people’s life changed because of the Gospel and have joy, peace, and abundant life in spite of all that goes on around us.  Being a disciple of Jesus is not doom and gloom, but instead is a great privilege and the rewards of discipleship far outweigh the costs as it says in Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Are you experiencing all that God has for you in this life?  David asked the Lord to restore to him the joy of his salvation.  Habakkuk said in 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Let’s do that today.

Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see, for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear them.” (Luke 10:23-24)
