DO YOU HAVE A DAILY BIBLE READING PLAN?

April 3

God wants us to read His word, meditate on it, study it, not so we can become greater in our knowledge of the word, but so that we can get to know Him better.  When we really begin to read the word and get into the meaning of it, then it can do the work it was meant to in our lives.  God wants to bless us and give us the strength to do great things for Him if we will only be strong and courageous and not be afraid or discouraged. He is with us, loves us, and wants only the best for our lives but we have to be willing to trust Him and step out in faith.  We can only do that by knowing His will from His word.  I would like to challenge you to take a chapter, or a short book of the Bible and read it every day for a week, maybe a month or 3 months and see how God’s word comes alive and begins to open up and you will see the things God wants you to see, learn, and apply in your life.  Will you commit to do this and see how God works?

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:8-9)
