DO YOU TRUST HIM IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES?

May 16

The first miracle by Jesus is at a wedding, which is significant.  He is blessing the union of a man and woman which picture Christ and the church as the bride of Christ. Notice Mary went straight to Jesus when she had a problem as we should.  He separates Himself from her showing that she is only the mother, not anyone to be worshipped as Jesus is. When the wine is gone speaks to the worst of circumstances in which God does His best work when we depend on Him.  He is never late, but right on time.  He made more than would be needed speaking of doing exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). It was the best wine in that it speaks to the fact that the best is yet to come (TBIYTC Rom 8:18).  I believe this was the best grape juice ever tasted, I don’t believe Jesus would make something that would go against Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. Jesus lastly proves He is God and showed this is only the beginning, that if He can change water into wine He can change us, and it was done that they and we might believe, that our faith would be strengthened. Trust Him, He will never disappoint or not be there when we need Him.

John 2:3-7 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.
