DOES OUR LIFE PLEASE GOD?

March 28

Jesus at His baptism was shown to be the Son of God by the Holy Spirit descending in bodily form LIKE a dove.  This is God saying this Man is not like any man, He is not just a good man, a prophet, or a good teacher, He is the GOD MAN, The Savior of the World. This is the pivotal point at which in the book of Acts and here the descent of the Holy Spirit leads to the teaching, preaching, and all the other events which dominate the purpose and plan God has for Jesus and us. Jesus came to save sinners and He demonstrated that by living for God and loving the unlovely in all ways perfectly. Are we allowing God to lead us and guide us in all ways that we might be an instrument in God’s hands to be used for His purposes? Is that our desire, not my will but I desire to do your will Father?

Luke 3:21-22 When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. 22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
