DOES YOUR LIFE PROVE YOUR FAITH?

September 3

In the previous verses God said not to associate with sinners and be different from them and He would be our Father and we would be His children. This was spoken to the Corinthians, but God’s standard has not changed. If we are truly His children, we will not be like the rest of the world and live in sin. I believe He is saying that the proof of our salvation is being different and that He will show Himself mighty in the lives of His children. Are you letting the world rule your life, if so stop today, repent, ask God to forgive you and begin to live that Holy life you are capable of in Christ. If you are not a believer then repent of your sins, ask God to forgive you and save you. He will. That is His promise. Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

2 Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
