DON’T LOSE HEART

September 20

As Christians we can be encouraged that by His mercy we have the privilege of sharing God’s love for others. Even though we have the responsibility and privilege to share His love it is ultimately God’s word and Spirit which changes people so we don’t have to water down or twist His word to get people to Christ. Many people want to soft pedal the word of God thinking if we make it more pleasing they will trust Christ. The reality is people want the truth which is so different than what the world tries to sell us every day. If we share the word as it is written, we can in good conscience say we have done His will.

2 Corinthians 4:1-2 Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.
