GIVE US EACH DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

April 14

I don’t believe for most having daily food or shelter in America is something we think too much about this anymore, we take these things for granted, but we shouldn’t. God first wants us to understand that we are dependent on Him for everything we have and need. Food is a blessing from God and so are the many other things we could consider daily bread. He means give us and keep on giving us all the things we need to get through the day. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. It is a privilege and a blessing to be able to read and know the word of God.  Many places today it will cost you your life or your freedom to own a bible or assemble to hear the word taught. Then how about a job, or good health, or a place to live.  I don’t know if you have really thought about it but all of the things we take for granted could be gone in a minute.  Have you asked God to supply what you need today and have you thanked Him because you have it?

Give us each day our daily bread. (Luke 11:3)
