GOD IS FAITHFUL

September 7

Verse 11 is speaking of four examples of disobedience mentioned in verses 1-10 and the resulting judgement which came to the Israelites. He goes on to say to the Corinthians and us don’t ever think you are above temptation and can never fail nor fall. Then He gives us the encouragement in the next verse that God is able to help us in any temptation and enable us to overcome it. Let us depend of God and come boldly before the throne of grace to find help and mercy in the time of need (Hebrews 4:16), because we can all fail and fall if we don’t depend on God always.

1 Corinthians 10:11-13 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.  13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
