GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

February 22

Many people are ignorant of God’s righteousness, not because they had never been told, but because they refused to learn. There is an ignorance that comes from lack of opportunity, but some have had many opportunities to be saved. Many have an ignorance that stems from willful, stubborn resistance to the truth. They will not submit to God. They are proud of their own good works and religious self-righteousness, and will not admit their sins and trust the Savior. Paul had made the same mistake before he met the Lord. There is a day of judgment coming and on that day it will not make any difference who you are!  Are you making the same mistake?

Unfortunately, many Christians are also ignorant of God’s righteousness in another way and have never grown in Christ and are still babies in knowing God and His word. This is a dangerous place to be with all the trouble and temptations assaulting us each day.

Mark 2:16-17 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
