GOD’S TRANSFORMING WORD

October 22

Paul is thankful to God that the Thessalonians had responded in the right way to the preaching of the Gospel.  They realized it was a message from God and not some human inventions and because of that they had believed the word and been saved.  This word had done a mighty work of transformation in their lives.  So many unfortunately are caught up in religions which are man’s attempts to reach God, but these systems of religion will never please God or get them into heaven. I pray today if you are in a system of religion that says you have to do something or not do something to go to heaven that you will turn from that and realize that Jesus plus or minus nothing is the only way to heaven.  John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO ONE gets to the Father but by Me.  Who or what are you trusting in to get to heaven?  Can you say without a doubt I know that I know that I know that if I died today I would go to heaven? If not, I would love to talk to you about how you can be sure. 1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

For this reason, we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
