LOOKING FOR HELP IN THE RIGHT PLACE

September 9

King David was confident that God would help him and sustain him just as He had done so many times in the past. When times are tough to whom or where is the first place we look for help? We need to learn if we have not that God is always there for us in all of our troubles. He may not get us out of the trouble but is there with us in them. He was with Daniel in the lion’s den, Joseph in the jail, the Hebrew boys in the fire, and many more too numerous to mention. Isaiah 43:2 says When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Lean on and call on Him today and He will be there for you.

Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul.
