LOOKING FOR THOSE OPPORTUNITIES

December 8

John takes the book and understands the revelation that is given in it. This book may have contained more of the book of Revelation or all the rest of the chapters, we don’t know. It is sweet at first because it is from God and all of God’s word is sweet to those that know Christ. But then it becomes bitter to him as he understands the judgements that are about to fall on those who do not know Christ. We who know Christ should read God’s word daily and ask God to help us understand it and apply it to our lives. We should especially be thankful for our salvation, but cry out to God to give us a heart for the lost. The judgements that are here and those that will fall on all who don’t believe are eternal and frightening. May God give us the opportunities to lovingly tell others about Christ before it is too late for them. Let’s look for those opportunities today.

Revelation 10:10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.
