REAL RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, AND TRUTH

May 29

Today we are going to read about Jesus being the only real righteousness, holiness, and truth there is; this is what it means for Jesus to say He is the Light of the world.  Unless we come to Him, we will never see the light of truth, or be righteous and holy like God wants us to be.  There is only one source of these attributes and the source is Jesus, God who came in human flesh to pay for our sins.  We call it when we think we are smart or in touch with our times enlightenment, well true enlightenment comes only from being saved by Jesus Christ because He is the source of all truth.  Jesus will also tell them that if you want to live rightly then you have to Follow Him.  The Pharisees do not like what Jesus says and call Him a liar.  Have we seen and believed on The Light? If so, let us be thankful, if not trust in Him today.

John 8:12-13 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” 13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, “You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true.”
