THE HEROES OF THE FAITH

November 20

This whole chapter is dedicated to the heroes of the faith. Think of this verse, he says time would fail me to tell you of all the people who were just as mighty in their faith as all of the others he names. What this means to you and me is we can be mighty in faith as they were if we will just trust God when He gives us something to do. We just need to step out in faith each time and then see what He does through us. Someone once said God stretches our faith. He asks us to do something and we say we can’t do that. Exactly, that is the point of faith, we can’t but through Him we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Has God asked you to do something and you didn’t because you said YOU couldn’t do it. TRUST HIM and see what God does through you when you step out in faith. Let me know how it goes.

Hebrews 11:32-34 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
