In 2 Chronicles 31:20-21 God sets the standard for the King and for us to uphold justice for all those who are “the afflicted” (the poor, the weak, the sick and disabled), those who others take advantage of most of the time. God said in Isaiah 58:6-7 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? It is not the outward symbols of religion God wants from us, it is true heart love and care for Him and all others, especially those who are downtrodden. This Christmas where was your focus – on you and your gifts or the true GIFT OF OUR SAVIOR?
2 Chronicles 31:20-21 Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the LORD his God. 21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.
