WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR ACTIONS?

Paul exhorts his readers with a series of commands in verses 13-18, with the greatest of these being to do all in love. As Christians the greatest need in the church and outside in the world is to let everything we do be motivated by love. God has poured out His love in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and shown His love to us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:5-8). We ought to be able to love the unlovely and especially our brethren in the church because of the great love God has shown us and commanded us to show to others in spite of how they act. We don’t have to love the sin, but we are still to realize that unbelievers are our mission field to lead to Christ by love. Let’s commit to do that today because God commanded it.

1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.
