WHO’S BUSINESS ARE YOU ABOUT?

January 25

Joseph and Mary left Jerusalem after going to the feast of Passover and do not realize Jesus is not there until the next day.  They go back and find Jesus teaching in the temple.  They are amazed at what He is doing and anxious over not knowing where He has been. Jesus tells them the most important thing is not where He has been but what He has been doing.  People always have places to go, people to see, and things to do, but are the things they are doing the most important thing?  Jesus tells us here the most important thing is to be about His Father’s business.  Are our lives centered around doing the most important thing?  Yes, we have to live our lives, take care of our families, and make a living but in the midst of all of that if we are Christians then we are to be about the business of making Jesus known as Savior and Lord and bringing people to Christ to be saved. What is most important to us, is it what Jesus would want us to do?

Luke 2:48-49 So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.” 49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
