CAN PEOPLE TELL YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN?

March 22

Just as Israel was to be different from all the other nations we as Christians are to be different from all those around us who don’t know the Lord.  We too are called holy and need to deal mercilessly with the sin in our lives as they were to do.  We like the Israelites have nothing to boast in if we are Christians because we did nothing to earn it or deserve it. God loves us because He said He would if we would only trust in Christ.  God brought us out with a mighty hand out of our former lives and set us free from the bondage of sin, let us live up to the name (Christians) we have been given.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8 “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 “The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 “but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
