KNOWING THE PROMISES

September 4

As Children of God we not only will have quantity of life one day in heaven, but the promise for us now is great quality of life because He said we will have joy, peace, and abundant life. This includes His understanding to undertake even the most difficult circumstances of life and guidance in everyday living. The Psalmist (David) concludes by praying that God’s loyal love and righteousness would continue to control his life so that the evil of the world would not take over the affections of his heart. Is this our prayer and the way we live?

Psalms 36:9-10 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy loving kindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
